Philips Hue has released an update for its Secure cameras. Firmware version 1.2.32.976110 is the first update for these smart home products in 2025. The last release was in November 2024, bringing a range of improvements for motion detection, Bluetooth connectivity and clip uploads.
The new Secure cameras 1.2.32.976110 update has enhanced the set-up process in the Philips Hue app. According to the release notes, the Wi-Fi router names displayed in the app are now more accurate. The Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor cooldown settings are said to be more user-friendly. Particularly short video clips, which are unlikely to provide useful footage for the user, are no longer uploaded. Plus, the upload success rate has generally improved.
The other changes are for battery-powered devices, like the Secure Battery camera (curr. $109.99 at Amazon). The update improves battery performance by reducing the number of “unnecessary” wake-ups and optimizing motion snooze settings. There should be fewer issues relating to unreachable devices or failures to enter sleep mode. Also, the automatic switching between day and night modes is more precise.
