HP has introduced a new 27-inch monitor at its Amplify 2025 event, the Series 5 Pro. The company claims that the panel can offer 100% sRGB coverage. Sportin 8-bit panel bit depth and a contrast ratio of 1500:1, it appears to be a decent pick for semi-professionals on a budget.
In addition, the panel has a 120 Hz refresh rate, and HP claims that the GtG response time is 5 ms. Both these aspects should make the Series 5 Pro 27-inch monitor good enough for casual gaming. HP has also integrated multiple eye-protection technologies, including HP Eye Ease and TUV Rheinland Eye Comfort 3.0.
The monitor has multiple adjustability features as well. It comes with a step-by-step Ergonomic Setup Guide, which aims to make it easier to get the monitor in the optimized position for your eyes.
Besides that, the HP Series 5 Pro sports a sleek design. It features a borderless frame with micro-edge bezels on three sides. The company says that this design enables easy multi-monitor setup (Huanuo dual monitor stand curr. $59.99 Amazon).
As for connectivity ports, there's a reasonable selection of them here. More specifically, the HP Series 5 Pro 27-inch monitor offers:
- 1x DisplayPort 1.2
- 1x HDMI 1.4
- 4x USB-A 3.2
- 1x USB-B
Other notable features of the HP Series 5 Pro 27-inch monitor are its anti-glare finish, 350 nits of rated brightness, and HP's Progressive White Balance for better picture output. HP has yet to share the pricing and availability details of this monitor.
