MSI MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2 to undercut 27-inch QD-OLED rivals from Dell, Gigabyte and others with $699.99 launch pricing
The MSI MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2 has moved a step closer to being released, over a month after the company listed the monitor on its US website. For some reason, the company's latest press release makes no mention of the monitor's first outing in late May. Instead, it refers to the MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2 in the following terms:
The MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2 boasts a 2K screen with a 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time, 2560x1440 (WQHD) resolution, and HDMI 2.1 connectivity. It is designed for gamers who enjoy FPS and console gaming.
The company adds that the monitor also comes with three years OLED burn-in warranty and its OLED Care 2.0 package. As such, the MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2 features a fanless heatsink to pull excess heat away from the panel itself, as well as MSI's Boundary Detection, Multi-Logo Detection, Pixel Shift, Panel Protect, Static Screen Detection and Taskbar Detection technologies to mitigate the chance of burn-in from occurring.
Meanwhile, the monitor also contains a pair of HDMI 2.1 ports, a single DisplayPort 1.4 port and a USB Type-C connection that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode but only 15 W Power Delivery. Unfortunately, MSI has not shared a specific release date for any markets. Nonetheless, the company's eShop suggests that the MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2 will be available for $699.99, which would make it $50 cheaper than the MAG 271QPX's retail price (curr. $699.99 on Amazon).
