Nubia has now released a new RedMagic Realm gaming monitor. Having previously offered a huge 49-inch model, the company has now pivoted to adopting one of Samsung's latest Gen 3 QD-OLED panels that provides a 4K native resolution and a 240 Hz refresh rate, among other features.

Nubia has started selling a new RedMagic Realm gaming monitor, just under six months after it released an earlier example. For context, the previous RedMagic Realm arrived with a 49-inch QD-OLED panel that outputted at 5,120 x 1,440 pixels with a 240 Hz refresh rate and 0.03 ms response times. Incidentally, Nubia released the 49-inch RedMagic Realm after a smaller IPS monitor that featured 5,088 Mini LED local dimming zones, which it has not refreshed yet.

Strictly speaking, the new RedMagic Realm is not a direct replacement for its 49-inch namesake. As expected, the new monitor relies upon a 31.5-inch QD-OLED panel that combines a 4K native resolution with a 240 Hz refresh rate. Moreover, the new RedMagic Realm delivers 0.03 ms response times, 1,000 nits peak brightness when viewing HDR content and is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified.

Thus, we suspect that Nubia's latest gaming monitor relies upon the same QD-OLED panel as the ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM (curr. $1,479.39 on Amazon). Additionally, Nubia has opted for a 1700R curvature, unlike all but the Alienware AW3225QF of current Gen 3 QD-OLED-based monitors. Moreover, Nubia has equipped the monitor with the following products:

  • 1x 3.5 mm jack
  • 1x DC in
  • 2x DisplayPort 1.4
  • 2x HDMI 2.1
  • 2x USB Type-A
  • 1x USB Type-B
  • 1x USB Type-C

The new RedMagic Realm sells for CNY 7,999 (~$1,100) in Nubia's home market. In other words, the monitor is about as expensive as other Gen 3 QD-OLED and 32-inch gaming monitors. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen whether Nubia will offer its latest RedMagic Realm monitor outside China.
