ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP: ASUS finally releases 480 Hz OLED gaming monitor as LG UltraGear OLED 32GS95UE rival
Months have passed since ASUS introduced the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP, one of a few monitors to adopt LG Display's dual 4K/240 Hz and 1080p/480 Hz WOLED panel. For reference, other examples include the ViewSonic XG323-4K-OLED2 and the LG UltraGear OLED 32GS95UE (curr. $1,196.99 on Amazon). However, only the latter had been available globally until now.
To recap, ASUS advertises the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP as achieving 250 nits full SDR brightness. While that is not impressive in of itself, HDR brightness peaks at 1,300 nits, 30% higher than its current QD-OLED derived competitors like the Philips Evnia 32M2N8800 and Nubia RedMagic Realm, among others. Please note that while ASUS originally claimed that the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP was its first Dolby Vision-compatible monitor, it does not include this claim on its website.
Instead, it states that the monitor is HDR10 compatible. At any rate, the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP features modern ports too, like HDMI 2.1 and a USB Type-C port that can recharge connected devices at up to 90 W.
