Deal | Asus ROG Flow X13 gaming 2-in-1 with RTX 4060 GPU gets $500 discount in 30% off sale

Asus has a number of ROG-flavoured convertible gaming and creator laptops and tablets, but they are all usually priced too high to make sense to the majority of buyers. This was more or less true for the Asus ROG Flow X13, too, but a recent sale on Asus's online store in combination with an additional $50 off coupon code mean the compact powerhouse is now 30% off. 

The Asus ROG Flow X13 is a 13-inch 2-in-1 gaming laptop, meaning its hinges allow the display to flip all the way around and become a tablet of sorts and making it much more versatile than a normal gaming laptop. In our review of the Asus ROG Flow X13, we found that Asus made very few performance compromises to achieve the 13-inch size and the 2-in-1 form factor — especially considering the 18.7 mm, 1.3 kg aluminium case. 

The ROG Flow X13 features an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU running at 60 W TGP paired to an eight-core AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS CPU. In our review of the Flow X13, the CPU performed around 4% slower than an average of its contemporaries, while the RTX 4060 was only slightly limited by the compact chassis. Battery life was also a highlight, at over 11 hours of runtime in our web browsing tests, while the 16 GB of dual-channel LPDDR5-6400 RAM should also be plenty fast for gaming on the Radeon 780M iGPU on battery power. 

The ROG Flow X13's display is just as premium as the rest of it, with the 13.4-inch, 2560 × 1600, 165 Hz, IPS panel delivering a respectable 473 cd/m² maximum brightness and 95.1% coverage of the Display P3 colour space. Being an IPS display, there's also no obnoxious PWM dimming to ruin gaming in a low-light environment. 

On its own, the ROG Flow X13 is currently $450 off, but there is an additional $50 off when applying a coupon code. After applying the discount code “ASUSJUL50” at checkout, the ROG Flow X13 comes in at just $1,149.99, which is a price usually reserved for gaming laptops squarely in the affordable category — those with far less capable hardware and much less premium build quality.
