AGON PRO AG246FK: AOC confirms pricing, specs and availability for ultra-fast eSports monitor
AOC is edging towards releasing the AGON PRO AG246FK, one of several new monitors it intends to start selling this summer. For reference, other new AOC monitors include the AGON PRO AG256FS and U27B3CF, release details of which we have covered separately. Please note that while the AGON PRO AG246FK is the smallest of the three, it also has the fastest response times.
Specifically, AOC has based the AGON PRO AG246FK around an 'Ultra-Fast TN eSports' panel that measures 24.1-inches across. According to the company's marketing materials, the compact panel combines a 1080p (1,920 x 1,080) resolution with a 540 Hz refresh rate and 0.3 ms MPRT response times (0.5 ms GtG). Moreover, the monitor boasts a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 94.7% DCI-P3 colour space coverage, 400 nits peak brightness and VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification.

Furthermore, it comes with 100 x 100 mm VESA mounts and a stand that supports pivot, swivel, tilt and up to 150 mm height adjustments. On top of that, AOC has also equipped the AGON PRO AG246FK with plenty of ports, including three video inputs. As the image below shows, the monitor features a 3.5 mm jack, a single DisplayPort 1.4 port, a pair of HDMI 2.0 ports and four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A for connecting peripherals or charging devices.
Unfortunately, this also means that the AGON PRO AG246FK is limited to a 240 Hz refresh rate when outputting over HDMI. Currently, AOC intends to begin selling the monitor in mid-August for £599 in the UK and €699 in the Eurozone. Please see the company's product listing for further details.
