Predator X34 V3: Acer releases new Mini LED gaming monitor with 1,000 nits peak brightness
Acer is finally starting to release the Predator X34 V3, which debuted in January during CES 2024. For reference, the Predator X34 V3 is joined by the Predator X32 X3, release details of which we have covered separately. However, there is no sign of the Predator X34 X5 yet that Acer claimed would be available this quarter.
To recap, the Predator X34 V3 spans 34-inches across and outputs natively at 3,440 x 1,440 pixels with 1 ms GtG response times in a 21:9 aspect ratio. Contrary to information that Acer revealed in January, the Predator X34 V3 actually utilises a VA panel and not an IPS equivalent. Nonetheless, the monitor's 2,304 Mini LED backlight zones remain, as does its 1500R curvature and 180 Hz refresh rate.
Moreover, the Predator X34 V3 is AMD FreeSync Premium and VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified. On top of that, Acer has also included a pair of 5 W speakers, two HDMI 2.0 ports, a single DisplayPort 1.4 connection and a USB Type-C port that can recharge connected devices at up to 90 W. Currently, the monitor is only orderable from Amazon, where it sells for €849 in the Eurozone. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen when the monitor will be available in other markets like Australia, North America or the UK.
