Xiaomi Redmi A27U debuts with a colour accurate 4K panel and four video inputs
Xiaomi has introduced plenty of devices lately, whether that be new foldables, smartwatches or a compact tablet with cellular connectivity. Conversely, its last monitor release was the Monitor A22i, although there have been signs that the Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27i could soon be available globally too.
Now, Xiaomi has expanded its monitor portfolio in China with the Redmi A27U, which actually resembles the Monitor A22i at first glance. However, while the latter utilises a 22-inch and 1080p VA panel, the Redmi A27U relies upon a completely different panel. Specifically, Xiaomi has equipped the Redmi A27U with an IPS panel that spans 27-inches with a 3,840 x 2,160-pixel native resolution.
Additionally, the monitor offers a 60 Hz refresh rate, 300 nits peak brightness and 6 ms response times (type unspecified). Moreover, the 16:9 monitor is said to provide a 1,200:1 contrast ratio and 95% DCI-P3 colour space coverage, as well as TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification and a matte finish to reduce glare when working. Currently, the Redmi A27U retails for CNY 1,699 (~$239) in China, which explains its limited port selection of two DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 ports apiece.
