Acer has now released the Predator X32 X3, its alternative to Dell's Alienware AW3225QF. Based on a Gen 3 QD-OLED panel from Samsung, the Acer Predator X32 X3 outputs natively at 4K with a 240 Hz refresh rate and a 1700R curvature.

Two months have now passed since Acer introduced the Predator X32 X3 alongside the Predator X34 X5. However, it has only started selling the former, which was also billed as being slightly cheaper than the latter. Unfortunately, it is unclear when Acer will actually release the Predator X34 X5 at this stage.

Also, it appears that Acer has raised the Predator X32 X3's price since its May announcement. Specifically, Amazon has priced the monitor at $1,199.99, a $100 surcharge on its original MSRP. The Predator X32 X3 remains competitive with other 31.5-inch QD-OLED monitors that have launched this year, whether that be the AORUS FO32U2P, Alienware AW3225QF, MPG 321URX QD-OLED or ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM.

Incidentally, the Predator X32 X3 is also one of the few Gen 3 QD-OLED monitors that offers a 1700R curved panel. For context, the others that fall into this category are the Alienware AW3225QF and a new RedMagic Realm that is exclusive to China for the time being. Fundamentally, the Predator X32 X3 offers the same underlying characteristics as its peers though, including a 4K native resolution, a 240 Hz refresh rate and excellent colour accuracy. Moreover, the monitor comes with the following ports, as well as a KVM switch and a pair of 5 W speakers:

  • 1x 3.5 mm jack
  • 2x DisplayPort 1.4 (DSC)
  • 2x HDMI 2.1
  • 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
  • 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-B
  • 1x USB Type-C (DisplayPort Alt Mode/65 W Power Delivery)
