MAG 321UP: MSI releases new 4K gaming monitor for $799.99 with unusual QD-OLED panel
MSI has expanded upon its Gen 3 QD-OLED gaming monitor range once again, shortly after releasing the MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2 and MPG 341CQPX (curr. $729.99 on Amazon). This time, the company has returned to 32-inch segment, which it already furnishes with the MAG 321UPX, MEG 321URX and MPG 321URX. Although those trio all feature the same underlying 4K and 240 Hz panel, MSI has settled for a lesser option with the MAG 321UP.
On the one hand, the MAG 321UP delivers a native 4K (3,840 x 2,160) resolution just like the MAG 321UPX. Additionally, the former offers 0.03 ms GtG response times and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification with 250 nits peak brightness (SDR). On top of that, the monitor boasts a pair of HDMI 2.1 (48 Gbps) ports, a single DisplayPort 1.4a connection and a USB Type-C Port that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode but only 15 W Power Delivery.
On the other hand, the MAG 321UP has a 165 Hz peak refresh rate and is VESA ClearMR 9000 certified compared to ClearMR 13000 and 240 Hz for the MAG 321UPX. In other words, it seems that the MAG 321UP relies upon the same QD-OLED panel as the AORUS FO32U that Gigabyte recently announced. While Gigabyte has not revealed launch pricing yet, MSI is already selling the MAG 321UP in some markets, including the UK and the US for £949.99 and $799.99, respectively.
