Update | Redmagic 9S Pro: Nubia provides more details ahead of launch

July 16, 2024 update: Redmagic 9S Pro has been launched and pricing will start at $649. Compared to the predecessor, it features an x-axis linear motor that is 43% bigger and 30% more powerful. It will have the Z-Smart Cast feature which offers 120FPS wireless, low-latency screen casting. Here are the details on its availability:

Nubia has announced the Redmagic 9S Pro will be launched today at 8:00 AM EST. Nubia just recently provided more information on this highly awaited device — the new king of AnTuTu.

This new Redmagic flagship will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version SoC; a customized version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This bomber will be supported by 2 escort fighters — a UFS4.0 storage unit and an LPDDR5X RAM unit.

Nubia made significant improvements in the cooling system, but other areas are not lacking either. Nubia claims to have used a new frost cooling gel which boosts thermal efficiency by 20%. The chinese phone manufacturer also claims the processor of the 9S Pro has a peak power consumption of 0.3W in boost mode.

The Redmagic 9S Pro will flaunt a customizable RGB cooling fan with a record-speed of 22,000RPM. At the heart of its cooling system will be the largest cooling VC so far, measuring 10,182mm^2.

The Nubia Redmagic 9S Pro also promises to be a power house, it has a typical battery capacity of 6,500mAh and is touted to last over 2 days on regular use. For charging, the Redmagic 9S Pro has to make do with 80W wired charging advertised to go from 0 to 100% in 35 minutes.
