Nubia Z60S Pro to launch alongside second premium smartphone with (probably) nearly the same SoC
Nubia's global division has been busy with news on its top-end smartphones as of late. Not merely content with unleashing the RedMagic 9S Pro, it has now also announced that its next major product event will in fact unveil not 1 but 2 devices.
Accordingly, the Z60 Ultra Leading Version will be joined by the Z60S Pro on July 23, 2024. The latter might seem a little redundant, as the former will (like the 9S Pro) be equipped with the ultimate form of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, whereas the Z50S Pro had the 8 Gen 2.
Then again, this is 2024, and the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 - the 'efficiency-focused' member of its series - is still on the table for the upcoming non-Ultra smartphone.
Nubia hints that it will have a 'dollar coin' camera hump while the Leading Version will not, suggests that the Z60S Pro might have a 50MP OIS main camera and one of the brand's signature 35mm lenses, yet lack other bells and whistles such as the 85mm telephoto lens of the existing Z60 Ultra.
