Xbox Game Pass gets 8 new games, including two new releases
Between July 3 and 16, Microsoft will add eight new games to the Xbox Game Pass. The only new full-price title is Cricket 24 and will probably only be of interest to fans of baseball-style cricket. With Magical Delicacy and Flock, however, there are at least two games that will be available in the Game Pass right from the realese.
Journey to the Savage Planet - July 3 (PC, cloud and console)
Journey to the Savage Planet is a humorous action adventure game in which players take on the role of an employee of Kindred Aerospace - the "fourth best interstellar exploration company". The mission: to explore the planet AR-Y 26 and determine whether it is suitable for human colonization. The game places great emphasis on humor and has a colorful, cartoon-like graphic style. As players explore the environment, they must collect resources, develop new technologies and solve puzzles.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 - July 3 (PC, Cloud and Console)
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 is a classic brawler in the style of Super Smash Bros. Instead of Nintendo characters, however, the heroes from various Nickelodeon cartoons enter the ring - including SpongeBob SquarePants, Avatar: The last Airbender and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Compared to its predecessor, the game features a significantly larger selection of characters and arenas as well as a revised combat system.
Cricket 24 - July 9 (PC, Cloud and Console)
Cricket 24 is a sports simulation designed to realistically recreate the core aspects of the baseball-like sport, such as batting, bowling and fielding. Players choose from various national and international teams and compete against other teams in official tournaments such as the Ashes, the Big Bash League or the Indian Premier League. Cricket 24 can be played alone, online or in local multiplayer mode.
The Case of the Golden Idol - July 9 (PC, cloud and console)
In this puzzle adventure, players take on the role of a detective who must solve a series of murders linked to a mysterious golden idol. The game is inspired by classic point-and-click adventures and requires astute observation and logical thinking. Players explore various crime scenes, collect clues and combine information to bring those responsible to justice.
Neon White - July 11 (PC, cloud and console)
Neon White is an action platformer played from a first-person perspective. Players take on the role of hitman White, who is summoned from hell to hunt demons in heaven. But he is not the only one. White competes against other hitmen. Whoever kills the most demons earns a place in paradise. The game comes in a neon-colored graphic style and offers fast, fluid gameplay.
Tchia - July 11 (PC, Cloud and Xbox Series X/S)
This open world action adventure revolves around the story of young Tchia, who embarks on an adventurous journey to rescue her kidnapped father. A central gameplay element is Tchia's ability to slip into animals and objects, allowing her to explore the environment from different perspectives and solve puzzles. The game offers a large open world that can be freely explored. Tchia can climb, glide and sail. The detailed graphic style is said to be inspired by the landscapes and cultures of New Caledonia.
Magical Delicacy - July 11 (PC, Cloud and Console)
Magical Delicacy is a pixel-style platformer about a young witch who moves to a new town to open a magical delicacies business. Players collect ingredients by exploring the world, visiting local markets and completing quests. Each ingredient has unique properties that can produce different magical effects. By experimenting with different combinations of ingredients, players can develop new recipes.
Flock - July 16 (PC, cloud and console)
Flock is a cute and relaxing co-op exploration game with hand-drawn graphics that focuses on exploration and collecting. As flying shepherds, players explore colorfully designed landscapes to discover and add unique creatures to their flock. The co-op gameplay allows players to work together with other players. Players can nurture their creatures and watch their herd grow and thrive. Each creature has its own special characteristics and behaviors to discover.
