WalkingCat has returned to leaking images of forthcoming Snapdragon X series laptops after a short break. To recap, the reliable leaker shared images of equivalent Yoga Slim 7x and ThinkPad T14s machines before Lenovo officially announced either model. This time, the X (formerly Twitter) account has turned its attention to the first ThinkBook model powered by Snapdragon X series silicon.
Specifically, the Snapdragon X series chipsets will receive their first run out in the ThinkBook series as a new version of the ThinkBook 16. On the face of it, little visually separates this new model from its existing AMD and Intel-powered siblings. However, a few differences do exist, such as the inclusion of 'Dolby Atmos' branding that Lenovo does not include beneath the ThinkBook 16's keyboard on AMD and Intel models.
Additionally, their Ethernet port has made way on this new Snapdragon variant, albeit without a direct replacement. Instead, the new ThinkBook 16 features a HDMI port, a 3.5 mm jack and a pair of USB Type-C ports on its left-hand side, with two USB Type-A ports, an SD card reader and a Kensington lock slot adorning the opposite side. Unfortunately, other details remain unknown for now, including which Snapdragon X chipset will underpin the device.
