Vivo is now believed to launch a successor to the V40e with a "Wedding Portrait Studio mode" apparently exclusive to the Indian market.
The setting will apparently be powered by the Sony IMX882 sensor as a main camera, augmented by OIS, multiple appropriate optical zoom levels (1x, 1.5x, and 2x) and various focal lengths (26mm, 39mm, and 52mm).
Otherwise, the "V50e" is thought to have most of the same specs as the Vivo S20 for the Chinese market, and in the same kind of chassis. Then again, the 2 devices might not be exactly the same, as the former is thought to run on the Dimensity 7300 processor rather than the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 of the latter.
There is also no guarantee that the V50e will have the S20's exceptionally large 6,500mAh battery, especially considering that not even the V50 has one.
Nevertheless, the allegedly upcoming smartphone has a good chance of debuting with a ~6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, Android 15 and and an IP68/69 rating.
The Vivo V50e is projected to launch in the first week of April 2025 at a price of around INR 24,999 to 29,999, while the V50 currently goes for INR 36,999 on Amazon.
