The FusionDock Pro 3 is a new docking solution that relies on Thunderbolt 5. It can be connected to two high-resolution displays and provides a fast wired network connection.

iVanky has introduced a new docking station called the FusionDock Pro 3, which is also available on Amazon for prices starting at $339 for Prime members. It utilizes the latest Thunderbolt 5 standard and aims to provide a particularly fast connection to a compatible device, which should also support TB5 in order to take full advantage of all features.

According to the manufacturer, the system is compatible with Apple’s MacBooks, but the full range of features is only available on Windows machines with Thunderbolt 5. In that case, users can connect two 6K displays at 60Hz, three 4K monitors at 144Hz or two 8K screens at 60Hz.

The connected device can be charged with up to 140 watts, which means that laptops only need a single cable that is hooked up to this dock. Moreover, the FusionDock Pro 3 offers two downstream Thunderbolt 5 ports, which can provide an image signal to up to three monitors. Additionally, there are two USB Type-A ports with up to 10 Gbps, one with up to 5 Gbps, a UHS-II SD card reader and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The docking station itself is powered via a barrel connector. On the back, there is an Ethernet port with a bandwidth of 2.5 Gbps. With the appropriate router, this can be particularly advantageous when transferring files to or from a local network storage, as most internet connections are noticeably slower than that.
