Apricorn announces Aegis Thunderbolt 4 docking station with dual Kensington security slots

Apricorn has announced the Aegis Thunderbolt 4 docking station for users who want to attach multiple external monitors and devices to their laptops with one easy connection that also supplies power. The dock has an MSRP of $229 and is available for purchase here on Amazon.

The Aegis dock connects to Windows 10+ and MacOS 11+ laptops with a Thunderbolt 3, 4, USB-C, or USB-4 port. The device is plug-and-play and does not require additional setup or software. In turn, the docking station provides:

• 3 Thunderbolt 4 (40 Gbps) ports
• 3 USB-A 10 Gbps ports
• 1 Ethernet port (up to 2.5 Gbps)
• 1 HDMI 2.1 port
• 1 SD 4.0 card reader
• 1 3.5 mm HD audio/mic combo jack.

An external power supply attached to the dock provides 96 watts of power to charge the laptop and power two 4K or one 8K external monitor.

The entire unit can be secured to the desk using the dual security cables attached to the full-sized Kensington Security Slot and the smaller Kensington Nano Security Slot.
