Vivo V40e turns up with iPhone 16 Pro-esque colorway in new leak
The Vivo V40e is now projected to replace its predecessor as an ultra-slim Android smartphone despite its market tier-leading battery capacity. It is also thought to switch to a more up-to-date design, finished in a new color that might be intended to mimic one now exclusive to the new iPhone 16 series. The V40e is also thought to challenge devices such as the CMF Phone 1 with the same MediaTek silicon.
It is also thought to ditch the V30e's current color options of Velvet Red and Silk Blue for a potentially Desert Titanium iPhone-baiting shade of Royal Bronze. The finish might be presented alongside the new camera hump adopted by the rest of the V40 series to date.
The V40e - or Vivo V2403, according to the Bluetooth Special Interest Group, might also update itself on the inside with the Dimensity 7300 SoC rather than the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 of its predecessor.
Then again, it still apparently has the 8GB of RAM and Android 14-based version of Funtouch OS as the V30e, as per some new Geekbench listings associated with its model number.
Given that a device of the same moniker has also just been spotted on the BIS database, the Vivo V40e might become available as a new ultra-slim yet long-lasting Android smartphone for the Indian market later in September 2024.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
