The Anker SOLIX F1200 portable power station, previously known as the PowerHouse 757, is an excellent portable power backup solution for camping and outdoor enthusiasts. The product can output up to 1,800 W, with a capacity of 1,229 Wh, and is decently efficient with heavier loads.

For people on the lookout for a high-capacity portable power backup unit, the Anker SOLIX F1200, formerly known as the PowerHouse 757, might be an excellent choice with little room for complaint. Albeit unsurprisingly pretty expensive, the SOLIX F1200 can now be bought for just $599 on Amazon, down from its retail price of $1,098.

As it turns out, the current price for the Anker SOLIX F1200 is actually the lowest price ever for the product on Amazon, as revealed by the price tracking website Camelcamelcamel. Amazon also offers free delivery, and although the product is non-returnable, its seller is Anker's official Amazon US store with a 99% approval rating, so potential buyers can take advantage of this deal worry-free.

As for the quality and performance of the Anker SOLIX F1200, the grass is mostly green. As per TrustedReviews' review of the dual AC socket version, the product's build quality is commendable, although unsurprisingly rather heavy at just north of 44 pounds. The unit can store 1,229 Wh of power and supports a maximum output of 1,800 W from all its ports. A total of six AC sockets are provided, which can together deliver 1,500 W of total output. As for input, an XT60 solar panel port is included, a mains port that can allow the system to charge up at 1 kW, and the SOLIX can also be juiced up using the included car charging lead.

Coming to performance, the SOLIX F1200 turns out to be an excellent performer, especially with heavier loads. With medium loads, however, there is a generous amount of energy loss owing to the AC inverter. TrustedReviews put the dual AC socket version of the SOLIX F1200 through its paces with a variety of gadgets, and the product always came out shining, although its fans do get occasionally loud. Its durable LFP batteries have been rated for 3,000 cycles, making it a dependable long-term solution.

All in all, the Anker SOLIX F1200 is a robust portable power backup solution designed for medium to heavy-duty applications - making it a decent choice for not just camping and outdoor enthusiasts, but also for people who simply wish to have a portable device powering the essential items of their household during power cuts.
