Just recently, Lenovo Legion's official Weibo handle confirmed that the widely awaited Legion Y700 (2024) gaming tablet is set to be released soon, without sharing much else regarding the device.
Now, Weibo user 'ExperienceMore' has claimed that the Legion Y700 (2024) is set to be released sometime in October, which is to be expected considering that Lenovo Legion's official post hinted at a release in the near future. However, as with all leaks, it is advised to accept this information with a grain of salt.
Apart from the release date, ExperienceMore also claimed that the upcoming Legion Y700 refresh will retain its 8.8-inch display size, which is welcome news considering its compact form factor was well appreciated by gamers. The device is also expected to boast the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, as revealed by its recently leaked Geekbench listing.
That being said, as per recent reports, it is likely that MediaTek's Dimensity 9400 as well as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 flagship SoCs will also debut in the coming weeks. Keeping that in mind, it would be rather disappointing to see the otherwise well-specced Legion Y700 gaming tablet hit the market with an already outdated SoC.
