Rumor: New Anker Zolo USB-C to USB-C Cable launching soon
The Anker Zolo USB-C to USB-C Cable (3.3ft, 240W braided) and Anker Zolo USB-C to USB-C Cable (6ft, 240W braided) are expected to launch soon. Details and images of the new accessories, with model number A8060, have been leaked on Reddit.
The USB-C cable supports 240W charging and offers a data transfer rate of 480 Mbps. Anker suggests that the cable is durable and able to withstand up to 10,000 bends or 27 lbs (~12 kg) force. The cable is braided and finished with a dirt-resistant coating. Another selling point is the ‘ultra-thin’ connector, measuring 10 x 5.8 mm (~0.4 x 0.2 inches), ensuring you can charge your phone with the case on. Plus, the cable is said to be USB 2.0 certified.
Based on the pictures, it appears that customers for the shorter 1m (~3.3ft), and possibly the longer 1.8m (~6ft) version, will be able to choose between four colors: black, white, blue and pink. The Anker Zolo USB-C to USB-C Cable (3.3ft, 240W braided) and Anker Zolo USB-C to USB-C Cable (6ft, 240W braided) will apparently retail in the US for $13.99 and $14.99, respectively. However, it is unclear whether these products will launch in other markets like Europe at the same time, or how much they would cost here. The older Anker Prime USB-C Cable (0.9m, 240W, Upcycled Braided) is already available in the EU for €24.99.
Updated: Fixed 480MB/s error, corrected to 480 Mbps.
