Anker Soundcore Select 4 Go compact Bluetooth speaker officially launched with 20-hour playtime and IP67 waterproof rating
Anker's sub-brand, Soundcore, has officially released the Select 4 Go portable Bluetooth speaker (model number A31X1), and it looks like the perfect accessory for those who want to enjoy music on-the-go without breaking the bank. It comes with a 1.75" full-range driver that provides 5W audio output in a compact design. The speaker claims to offer up to 20 hours of playtime.
Connectivity wise, it uses Bluetooth 5.4 with a 30-meter range, and it supports true wireless stereo pairing, which, for reference, allows you to pair two compatible speakers to create a stereo sound experience where one speaker plays the left audio channel and the other plays the right. This IP67-rated speaker is dust and water-resistant, making it suitable for outdoor use. It also features a customizable equalizer for tuning sound to the user preference.
The company claims that the Soundcore Select 4 Go is designed to withstand continuous playback for 5 days at 40°C without any performance degradation. It is further stated that the speaker's battery will retain 95% performance after 300 cycles, and the buttons are rated for up to 3,000 presses. Additionally, it comes with 24-month warranty for added peace of mind.
Priced at $24.99 on Amazon US, £22.49 in the UK (with a 10% off voucher), and $33.99 in Canada, the Soundcore Select 4 Go is currently available in blue, black and white color options, with more expected soon, as per the report. In fact, other color options like purple and green are visible in some of Amazon's promo materials (see below), but not all of them are up for sale yet.
Inside the box, users will find the Select 4 Go speaker, a 60 cm USB-A to C cable, and a quick start guide - all of which sounds pretty decent for the price point. The speaker’s compact size (12.08 x 8.27 x 4.85 cm) and build (265g) will appeal to those who like to travel light. However, if you're looking for something louder and don't mind the extra size and weight, the Soundcore Select 2S might be the better portable speaker for you. It's currently priced at $39.99 on Amazon.
