Beyerdynamic Amiron 300: New headphones with LDAC and ANC promise high-quality sound
Besides the usual over-ear headphones, Beyerdynamic offers more compact wireless headphones. The company is now expanding its range with the Amiron 300 headphones (US$279,99 on Amazon), which promise high audio quality. It should be noted that the new model is rather expensive
They use single 10-millimeter drivers, unlike many current models that are supplied with two drivers. High sound quality is advertised, which should not be limited by the wireless connection. According to the manufacturer, SBC, AAC, and LDAC audio codecs are supported, and the connection is made via Bluetooth 5.3. The Bluetooth Multipoint is also present and allows connection with several devices at the same time, which should eliminate cumbersome pairing in everyday life.
Active noise canceling is promised, and a transparency mode is available - this enables, for example, the perception of traffic noise. There are six microphones, which should also result in high audio quality during telephone conversations - for the other party. Wearing detection can be used to automatically pause and resume playback, and the Beyerdynamic app offers wide settings selection.
The maximum runtime is specified at up to 38 hours - this is the total runtime with several intermediate charges in the charging case. The latter supports wireless charging via the Qi standard. A 10-minute charge should be sufficient for a further 2 hours of playback. There are touch surfaces on the headphones that can be used to control playback, call up a voice assistant, or activate transparency mode.
