New open-ear headphones have started crowdfunding on Kickstarter, namely the AceFit Pro, which come with several special features and are currently available for pre-order along with an early-bird discount. The usual risks of crowdfunding campaigns apply.
Priced at $119, a 37% discount on the RRP of $189, the headphones are not only available in four different colors (green, pink, purple, white), but also in various bundles such as a dual pack or together with other products from AceFast. Deliveries worldwide are scheduled to start in March 2025.
The most obvious special feature of the new AceFit Pro is the integrated lighting with eight light effects. A matrix of 40 LEDs makes the open-ear headphones glow. This not only looks stylish, but is primarily intended to improve safety at nighttime, e.g., when walking on unlit streets or jogging in the dark. The manufacturer promises visibility of up to 10 meters.
For sound reproduction, AceFast installs a 3-magnet Super Linear driver with a maximum amplitude of 0.5 mm in the AceFit Pro. The earbuds themselves weigh are quite light at 7.6 g, and are held in place with a 0.7 mm thin and flexible titanium wire surrounded by skin-friendly silicone.
In addition to touch control, five different sound effects and ENC Noice Cancellation, the battery life of the AceFit Pro is said to be around 6 hours, which can be extended by 25 hours with the included charging case and integrated display. Acefast also promises stable Bluetooth connectivity with LDS antennas, including dual-device connectivity.
