Moondrop's latest over-ear headphones feature a foldable design for easy portability as well as aluminum hinges for better durability. The ear cushions are filled with memory foam, which allows them to adjust to the individual shape of ears for enhanced comfort.
Furthermore, Moondrop has incorporated 40mm dynamic drivers with a beryllium coating, which is supposed to deliver an excellent dynamic range. The over-ear headphones are also equipped with four microphones that are utilized for active noise cancellation (ANC) and other functions. Meanwhile, beamforming and wind noise reduction should ensure good voice quality during phone calls.
The Moondrop Edge connect to smartphones and other devices via Bluetooth 5.4. These wireless headphones further support SBC, AAC as well as Sony's high-resolution LDAC codec. Moreover, Bluetooth multipoint allows users to hook up their headphones to two devices simultaneously. Buttons on the headphones can be used to adjust the volume and pause or resume playback. Moondrop claims that the Edge headphones sport a battery life of up to 48 hours, while a short five-minute recharge via USB-C provides enough power for four hours of music playback.
