The Beyerdynamic Aventho wireless headphones originally launched back in 2017. The German manufacturer is now refreshing these stylish headphones by giving the Aventho 100 some upgraded specs and features. The design remains largely unchanged, and the 45mm dynamic drivers are also carried over from the previous model.
However, the new Bluetooth chipset supports Qualcomm aptX Lossless and aptX Adaptive, in addition to AAC and SBC. The former enables lossless wireless transmission of music. Moreover,r battery life has been tripled to up to 60 hours. If active noise cancellation (ANC) is on, the battery life decreases to a respectable 40 hours. Charging takes place via USB-C, and 15 minutes of charging provides enough power for 15 hours of music playback.
A mix of aluminum and fabric supposedly gives the headphones a premium feel, while their weight of just 7.8 oz should contribute to decent wearing comfort. In addition, these headphones can be folded for easier transport, but Beyerdynamic only includes a pouch in the box of the Aventho 100, not a hard case. The on-ear headphones can alternatively be connected via an AUX cable.
Price and availability
The new Aventho 100 headphones are now available for €199, either on Amazon or at the manufacturer's official online store. They are not listed at Beyerdynamic's US store at the time of writing. The headphones come in either brown, beige, and black. Beyerdynamic includes a USB charging cable, a 3.5mm AUX cable, and the aforementioned sleeve.
