Two leakers have outlined pretty much all there is to know about the Nothing Ear (open). Launching tomorrow as Nothing's next audio product, the Ear (open) sports an unusual design that is unlike even other pairs of open earbuds.

Nothing is set to unveil a new product tomorrow, having started sharing design teasers last week. While the company continues to keep the device under wraps, both Roland Quandt and Arsène Lupin have revealed pretty much all there is to know about the Nothing's next release, which they both claim will launch as the Ear (open).

Additionally, Quandt and Lupin have shared product renders and various specifications. Presumably, these were obtained from an errant listing; neither have shared any source links, though. At any rate, the leaked product images show that Nothing has ditched silicone ear tips and conventional stems in favour of a design that allows the Ear (open) to wrap around an ear rather than sit within it. Consequently, Nothing's new earbuds look hardly anything like Nothing's existing audio products like the Ear (2) or Ear (a) (curr. $98 on Amazon).

Reportedly, each Ear (open) earbud features a 64 mAh battery that should last up to 8 hours between charges. Moreover, the bundled charging case and its 635 mAh battery are said to deliver just under two full charges for roughly 30 hours of combined battery life. Meanwhile, Quandt and Lupin report that Nothing has included 14.2 mm dynamic polyethylene terephthalate drivers that have been coated in titanium. On top of that, the Ear (open) will support a 'Bass Enhance' algorithm but no active noise cancellation (ANC) to speak of.

Furthermore, the earbuds lack a transparency mode, although their open design renders this functionality somewhat irrelevant. For reference, the Ear (open) will support Bluetooth 5.3, Bluetooth Multipoint and touch gestures that can directly summon ChatGPT to act as a voice assistant. While neither Quandt nor Arsène Lupin have outlined pricing yet, Nothing will do so tomorrow during its Ear (open) launch event.
