Nothing confirms Ear 3 launch date
The next generation of true-wireless earbuds from Nothing are almost here. The company has shared it will launch the Nothing Ear (3) next week, as well has teased the design yet again, though not much can be gleamed from the social media post. These will be the follow up to the Nothing Ear (2) from March 2023, though there have been a few other launches in the Ear series since then.
The company took to X to confirm the release date for the Nothing Ear (3) after first teasing the earbuds last week (September 5). The Ear (3) will arrive on September 18, next Thursday. The close-up image of the earbuds shows the semi-transparent stem and a black tip, confirming the black variant. Typically, Nothing launches its earbuds in at least black and white colors so there will likely be a white variant of the Ear (3) as well.
That’s about all the information available for the Nothing Ear 3. The company launched its first TWS earbuds, the Nothing Ear (1) in 2021 and they were followed by the Nothing Ear (stick) in November 2022. Next came the Nothing Ear (2) in March 2023. Then the Nothing Ear (refreshed Nothing Ear 2) and the budget-friendly Nothing Ear (a) were released in early 2024, followed by the Nothing Ear (open) in September 2024.
The current-gen Nothing Ear are priced at $159, but are currently available on Amazon for $129. They come in both black and white colors. The Nothing Ear 3 could be priced in the $179 to $199 range and bring improved battery life, sound quality, and active noise cancelation. The company will likely tease more details this week and the next, before the launch on September 18.
