Nothing will officially unveil the Ear (3) true-wireless earbuds tomorrow, September 18, and has been teasing them for over a week. It has shared some of the features and images already, but a new leak sheds more light on what can be expected from the successor to the Nothing Ear from early last year.
The information comes courtesy of OnLeaks and Android Headlines, and it states that the Nothing Ear 3 will feature 12 mm dynamic drivers in each earbud, Adaptive Noise Cancellation of up to 45 db, and a 95 db Super Mic. They will also support Hi-Res LDAC audio at 24-bit. The battery life is said to be 10 hours of continuous playback on a single charge, and up to 38 hours with the carrying case.
As for the images, they show different angles of the earbuds and the case, both in black and silver colors. Parts of the earbuds and the case are metal which lends to a more premium feel.
The leaked images also show a USB Type-C port on the right side along with what seems to be two LEDs, possibly indicating charging status. At the front is the Talk button which is said to allow users to talk or record through the case, complimented by the Super Mic. It may even be used to launch a voice assistant directly.
It should be noted that Nothing has not shared any specifications for the Ear (3). As mentioned earlier, the company will unveil the earbuds on September 18 so we don’t have to wait long to get final specs and pricing. For reference, the current-gen Nothing Ear are priced at $159, but are discounted to $129 on Amazon. The Nothing Ear (3) could be priced in the $179 to $199 range.
