New Xiaomi smart dual-zone washing machine launches

Xiaomi has launched the new Mijia Dual Zone Washing Machine Drum 10kg in China. This model arrived shortly after the brand unveiled the Mijia Three-Zone Washing Machine Pro Drum 10kg in this market.

As its name suggests, the Mijia Dual Zone Washing Machine offers two drums, allowing you to wash two loads separately. They are completely independent of each other, with the smaller drum suited to one to three pieces of underwear, and the larger drum supporting loads weighing up to 10 kg (~22.0 lbs). Users can choose from a range of cycles, including a 12 minute quick wash, which can be selected on the built-in touch control panel. The maximum washing temperature is 95°C (~203°F), and the steam cleaning mode is said to provide 99.99% sterilzation.

Xiaomi’s Mijia Dual Zone Washing Machine has a few smart features. These include automatic detergent dispensing, determined by the weight of the load. Plus, you can remotely monitor the progress of the cycle or trigger OTA updates through the brand’s app, thanks to HyperOS Connect. It measures 598 x 850 x 600 mm (~23.5 x 33.5 x 23.6 inches), with a dark grey finish.

In China, the Xiaomi Mijia Dual Zone Washing Machine Drum 10kg is priced at CNY 3,999 (~$562). The company has not announced plans to bring this device to other markets; it does not currently sell its washing machines in Europe, but other smart home products like the Robot Vacuum X20+ are available for €359 at retailers like Amazon.
