New Xiaomi Smart Electric Water Heater launches with HyperOS Connect

The Xiaomi Mijia Smart Electric Water Heater 2 Dual Tank 60L has been launched in China. Suitable for installation in a kitchen, bathroom or another room in your home, this model has a white finish and is relatively compact, measuring 700 x 607 x 357 mm (~27.6 x 23.9 x 14.1 inches).

Xiaomi’s Mijia Smart Electric Water Heater 2 is advertised with 3,200W rated power to rapidly heat 60L of water, which could be used for a bath or shower. According to the company, it can provide hot water constantly for a little over two hours, with the temperature adjustable between 30 and 80°C (~86 and 176°F). Plus, it has been rated as a Class 1 energy-efficient device in China, with an 80% hot water output rate.

You can adjust the settings of the new Mijia Smart Electric Water Heater through the integrated digital display. Plus, with HyperOS Connect, it can be remotely controlled through the brand’s app and linked to other smart home devices. It also offers five-level water purification, which should remove 99.99% of bacteria. There are nine safety protection features, and this IPX4-rated waterproof model comes with a five-year warranty.

In China, the Xiaomi Mijia Smart Electric Water Heater 2 Dual Tank 60L retails for CNY 1,899 (~$267). The company has yet to announce plans to release this model in markets like Europe, where it sells other smart home products like the Robot Vacuum X20+ (curr. €359 at Amazon Germany).
