BougeRV Portable Diesel Heater debuts with 5 kW heating power and smart controls

BougeRV has released the Portable Diesel heater onto the global market. As its name suggests, the gadget comes with a compact and portable form factor, measuring 15.3 x 9.7 x 12.4 inches (388.6 x 246.3 x 314.9 mm) and weighing around 10 kg (22 lbs). Unlike Xiaomi’s Mijia heater, which uses dual graphene heating elements to provide warmth, BougeRV’s latest heater uses diesel as a fuel to provide warmth. It offers a 5-liter fuel tank with a leak-proof design and an automotive-grade fuel cap. 

With a 304 stainless steel build, the device ships with a built-in 5-layer safety system, which is said to prevent overheating, leaks, and electrical issues. Speaking of heating power, the outdoor heater delivers 5 kW of heating output that can warm a 307 ft³ tent/area in around 8 minutes. The company claims that the BougeRV Diesel heater can provide heat for up to 27 hours on a single 5L tank while consuming only 0.18-0.53 L/h of fuel. 

Furthermore, there’s a small LCD control panel, which shows essential information such as the ignition indicator, power level, clock, voltage, heater status, air blower, fuel pump, timer, and schedule. On top of that, you can control the gadget via built-in knobs, a remote (49 ft range) or an app (33 ft range). Unfortunately, it lacks voice command support like Xiaomi’s Mijia heaters. On the positive side, you can use a power station, storage battery, vehicle, or standard wall outlet to power the heater. 

As for noise, the diesel-powered heater is equipped with dual noise protection technology, and it produces a noise level of <70 dB during operation. Moreover, BougeRV claims that the heater can reliably work even at high altitudes up to 9,842 ft (3000 m). Alongside the LCD control panel, it has two built-in handles on the top side, making it easy to carry on the go.
