The Epson Home Cinema 1100 3LCD Wireless 1080p Projector is now available in the US. It shares many similarities with the recently released Home Cinema 980, though it has a higher RRP.
Epson’s Home Cinema 1100 is a 1080p projector with 3LCD technology. According to the company, the 210W UHE lamp module can produce up to 3,400 lumens IDMS-rated color brightness and 3,400 lumens ISO-rated white brightness. For context, the Home Cinema 980 has up to 4,000 lumens brightness by the same ratings.
The other difference between the Home Cinema 1100 and the Home Cinema 980 is support for wireless screensharing. With the 1100 model, users can share content from a mobile device via Miracast and Apple AirPlay; support for AirPlay 2 and Apple HomeKit was pushed to many of the brand’s projectors earlier this year.
Like the 980 model, the 1100 has is a 16,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and users can choose between 16:9 (native), 16:10 and 4:2 aspect ratios. This projector has a throw ratio of 1.00-1.21:1 and a maximum image size of 305 inches. Other features include keystone correction tools, a 5W speaker and ports including two HDMI, USB-A and audio out.
You can now buy the Epson Home Cinema 1100 3LCD Wireless 1080p Projector for $829 at Amazon, though it is listed with an $899 RRP at the brand’s online store. At $899, it is $100 more expensive than the Home Cinema 980, which retails for $799.
