The Philips NeoPix 450 Smart projector is rolling out globally. This home theater model was released a few weeks ago, and can already be purchased in North America and Europe. More recently, it has also reached countries like Australia and New Zealand.
The NeoPix 450 Smart has an FHD 1080p resolution and is said to project images up to 100 inches wide with a 1.25:1 throw ratio. The LED light source delivers up to 500 ANSI lumens brightness, according to product listings, and should run for around 30,000 hours. To perfect the image, there is an integrated swivelling, height-adjustable stand, and tools like auto-focus and automatic keystone correction.
Users of the NeoPix 450 Smart can access many streaming apps through the Google TV interface, and the device also supports screen mirroring with Wi-Fi 6 as well as Bluetooth 5.0. Ports include HDMI and USB, and there are dual built-in 5W speakers. The compact, portable model measures 195 x 219 x 194 mm (~7.7 x 8.6 x 7.6 inches) and weighs 2.48 kg (~5.47 lbs).
In the US, the Philips NeoPix 450 Smart projector is available for $367 at Amazon, making it a relatively affordable model. In EU countries like Spain and Germany, it is priced at €399.80. Customers in Australia will be able to pick up the product at retailers like JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman for AU$999.
