BenQ W4100i upgraded 4K projector now available

The BenQ W4100i Home Cinema Projector has been released globally. It builds on the earlier W4000i model, with a higher contrast ratio, vertical scan rate and an additional HDMI port. Other features of this 4K projector include up to 3,200 ANSI lumens brightness and Android TV via an accessory.

BenQ is now selling the W4100i Home Cinema Projector in countries worldwide. This model was unveiled in Europe earlier this year as a successor to the 2023 W4000i with various upgrades.

Improvements found the BenQ W4100i include a wider horizontal frequency range of 15 to 270 kHz and an up to 240 Hz vertical scan rate. Input lag is reduced to 6.5 ms at 1080P@240Hz or 17.9 ms gaming at 4K@60Hz, and there is a third HDMI port. On top of this, it has a higher FOFO contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1, and a new picture modes like HDR AI Cinema.

BenQ’s W4100i has a 4LED light source for up to 3,200 ANSI lumens brightness. The 4K UHD DLP projector has a throw ratio of 1.15 to 1.50 with 1.3x zoom. According to BenQ, it covers 100% of the DCI-P3 and Rec. 709 color gamuts, and there are image-perfecting tools like 2D Keystone and four-way lens shift. Other features include a 5W speaker, Dolby Atmos compatibility, an accompanying Android TV dongle and support for Apple AirPlay and Google Cast. This model measures 420.5 x 135.3 x 312.1 mm (~16.6 x 5.3 x 12.3 inches).

You can now buy the BenQ W4100i Home Cinema Projector in the US for $2,999 at B&H Photo Video. Here, it is also available to pre-order at the same price at Amazon, with a release date of September 1st. In the UK, retailers like Richer Sounds carry the product for £2,999. In other European countries like the Netherlands, it is priced at €2,999.
