Aoostar launches new affordable mini PC with OCuLink and up to Ryzen 7 Pro

Aoostar has officially launched the MACO mini PC in China. Starting at CNY 1,999, about $278, the system is available with two AMD Hawk Point processor options. More specifically, it can be configured with either the Ryzen 7 H 255 or the Ryzen 7 Pro 8845HS. Among the two, the former is a China-exclusive processor, but Beelink has already introduced the SER9 Pro with the same APU in the global market.

Nonetheless, both processors come with eight Zen 4 cores and the Radeon 780M iGPU, making the affordable mini PC capable of handling modern games at the 1080p resolution with the visual settings turned to low or medium. There's an option to install an eGPU to get an even better gaming performance, and for that, the system has one OCuLink and two USB4 ports (GMKtec AD-GP1 eGPU curr. $469.99 on Amazon).

Other than that, the Aoostar MACO has two DDR5 SO-DIMM RAM and two M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots for memory and storage, and besides OCuLink and USB4 ports, the mini PC has the following port configuration:

• 2x USB 3.2 Type-A
• 2x USB 2.0 Type-A
• 2x 2.5G LAN
• 1x DisplayPort 1.4
• 1x HDMI 2.1
• 1x 3.5 mm audio

To keep the system cool during heavy loads, Aoostar has integrated a VC vapor chamber that's paired with a silent turbo fan. Among the other highlights are WiFi 6, support for quad-display output, a built-in fingerprint scanner with Windows Hello, and a compact aluminum alloy chassis.

There's still no word on when the Aoostar MACO will make a global debut, but the company is known for introducing its products to the international market shortly after the Chinese launch. Check out the spec sheet attached below to learn more about this affordable mini PC.
