GMK launches NucBox M3 Ultra as new Intel mini PC with limited-time launch discount
GMKtec has introduced a new Intel mini PC, the GMK NucBox M3 Ultra. It's an upgraded variant compared to the non-Ultra version that launched in 2023, but it still packs a CPU from the Alder Lake lineup. To be specific, the new system features the Core i7 12700H, while the non-Ultra launched with the Core i5 12450H.
The Core i7 12700H of the NucBox M3 Ultra can be paired with up to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM running at 3200 MT/s, and there are two PCIe 3.0 slots, bringing support for up to 8 TB of storage (4 TB Crucial P310 curr. $234.99 on Amazon). While the mini PC has a relatively compact form factor, it has a rich selection of ports, including:
- 3x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- 1x USB 2.0 Type-A
- 1x USB Type-C
- 2x HDMI
- 1x 2.5G Ethernet
- 1x 3.5 mm audio
It's worth noting that the USB Type-C of the mini PC isn't a full-function port. Instead, it has support for data and DisplayPort but no PD support. For wireless connections, the GMKtec NucBox M3 Ultra has WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
Among the other highlights of the mini PC are triple-display output support, a quiet cooling setup, and VESA mount support. The barebone configuration costs $299.99, while the config with 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD is currently going for $429.99. GMKtec is also offering a limited-time launch discount through the PRM3U12 promo code. It will remain active until August 25, 2025, and will bring the price down by $12.
