The Tapo P110M Mini Smart Wi-Fi Plug is now compatible with Matter 1.3. This is part of a broader P110M(UK)_V1_1.3.2 Build 250526 update for this smart home product from the TP-Link sub-brand.
The change log for the Build 250526 release states that the upgrade to Matter 1.3 means that users can now view real-time and historical energy consumption data in any Matter-compatible app. Previously, this information could only be viewed in the TP-Link Tapo app. The company notes that not all Matter-enabled apps have Matter 1.3, and therefore may not support this energy monitoring feature. However, Tapo confirms that both Home Assistant and Samsung SmartThings are compatible with this energy usage tracking tool.
As well as Matter 1.3, this update is also said to enhance the security of the device. Plus, the performance of the Wi-Fi connection is said to have been optimized. In both cases, Tapo has not provided any further information.
The P110M(UK)_V1_1.3.2 Build 250526 release began rolling out on July 30th to users of the Tapo P110M Mini Smart Wi-Fi Plug (4-pack curr $29.99 at Amazon). You can check for the update in the Tapo app by going to Home > Tapo P110 > Device Settings > Firmware Update, or from Me > Firmware Update.
