Shelly launches new Z-Wave Long Range smart home products

Shelly has released four new products which support Z-Wave Long Range. The brand has been selling Z-Wave compatible devices for a couple of years, but this new technology provides an extended wireless range. 

The four new Shelly products are the Wave 1PM Mini (LR) smart switch, the Shelly Wave Plug S (LR), the Shelly Wave Plug UK and the Shelly Wave i4 (LR) inputs module. Each of these devices works with both Z-Wave Long Range (ZWLR) (912 MHZ US, 864 MHz Europe) and Z-Wave Plus (908.4 MHz US, 868.4 MHz Europe). These Z-Wave 800 series smart home products have a wireless range of up to 80 m (~262 ft) indoors or up to 1,000 m (3,281 ft) outdoors.

Shelly notes that all connected smart home devices and the controller, be that a hub or gateway, must all support Z-Wave Long Range. The Shelly Wave 1PM Mini (LR) is available for $29.99/€33.00, and the Shelly Wave i4 (LR) retails for $32.99/€31.00. In Europe, the Shelly Wave Plug S LR retails for €40.00. At the brand's UK store, the Shelly Wave Plug UK is priced at £27.49, though the product listing does not currently mention the new Z-Wave Long Range technology.
