In a recent leak, Philips Hue has accidentally announced the Festavia Permanent Lights. They briefly appeared on the brand’s website alongside other unreleased smart home products like the Hue Bridge Pro and the Gradient Strip Lights.
Philips Hue indicates that the Festavia Permanent Lights are designed for outdoor use. The company suggests that you could install them on a wall, or along a roofline or around a window. While they are described as suitable for use ‘year-round’, an IP weatherproof rating or operating temperature range has yet to be provided.
A leaked image of the Philips Hue Festavia Permanent Lights shows multiple round lights set on a flat cable. They will offer both white and colored lighting effects, and will likely be dimmable. The company also claims that they are bright, without backing this up with data. Further information, such as the length of the string, the number of lights and the maximum brightness, has yet to be confirmed. Based on other Philips Hue products, it is highly likely that they will be controlled via the brand’s app, with optional support for Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice commands.
The Philips Hue Festavia Permanent Lights are expected to be officially announced at IFA 2025, an event taking place this September. The release date and pricing of these smart lights are unknown. As an indication, a set of the older Festavia String Lights with 250 LEDs on a 65 ft cable retails for $241.99 (curr. $199.95 at Amazon).
