The unreleased Philips Hue Bridge Pro has been sent to reviewers of one US retailer. This new smart home hub was rumored earlier this year, and recently appeared on the brand’s own website for a few hours. As such, many details about the product have already leaked.
Now, Reddit user u/TugBuilder reported that they have been sent the Philips Hue Bridge Pro as part of the Lowe’s Incentivized Reviewer Program. It appears that customers cannot sign up to this program, but are invited to join by the company based on previous orders and review history. The tester confirms several of the Hue Bridge Pro’s features, including USB-C power input, the Ethernet port for optional wired connection and a reset button. Plus, the user said that they had tried and succeeded in connecting the Bridge via Wi-Fi.
On attempting to set up the device, u/TugBuilder noted that it could not be added to the Philips Hue app via the QR code. However, it was successfully found through a manual search for the Hue Bridge. As a reminder, the Hue Bridge Pro is expected to be far more powerful than its predecessor, supporting up to 150 smart lights, 50 accessories and 500 scenes. It is expected to be officially revealed at IFA 2025 this September. While its price has yet to be revealed, it is likely to be more expensive than the Philips Hue Bridge (v3), which retails for $65.99 (curr. $52.79 at Amazon).
