More details about the Philips Hue Outdoor Gradient Lightstrip have been leaked. The brand’s upcoming Gradient Lightstrip range recently briefly appeared on the brand’s website alongside the new Hue Bridge Pro.
Since then, further information about the Outdoor Gradient Lightstrip from this range has surfaced. According to a report by Hueblog.com, the white and colored lighting strip measures around 5 m (~16.4 ft) long. It is unclear whether or not other lengths could not be on the way. The blog also mentions a thinner silicone casing and an accompanying 30W power supply.
A second report by Smartlights.de reveals other specifications, such as the 6 mm (~0.2 inches) thickness of the Outdoor Gradient Lightstrip. The publication also claims that the smart light will offer up to 3,000 lumens brightness; that would make it almost twice as bright as the older Hue Lightstrip Outdoor, which offers 1,650 lumens brightness at 4,000K. Plus, it seems that users will not be able to adjust the length of this particular light strip.
As with the other recently leaked products, the Philips Hue Outdoor Gradient Lightstrip is expected to be officially announced at IFA 2025. The event takes place in early September, when we might expect to learn the release date and pricing of this product. As an indication, the older Philips Hue White and Color Ambiance Lightstrip Outdoor 197 inch/5 m/16 ft retails for $214.99 (7 ft version curr. $129.99 at Amazon).
