The first 2025 flagship smartphone to have been submitted to safety testing in China will launch as the X300 Pro, according to a new report. The device will apparently have a special Satellite Edition - however, what it might not have is the significantly enlarged battery supposedly unearthed in an earlier leak.

The notorious leaker Digital Chat Station now purports to confirm that the V2502A, a device that has just started to show up on official Chinese regulatory databases, is the upcoming X300 Pro rather than the X300.

It apparently follows that its constant companion in these leaks, the V2502DA, is another version of the Pro that can support satellite messaging via the Beidou network.

Should that be the case, either smartphone is now backed to be marketed as a device with a battery of 6,500mAh in size (or a rated capacity of 6,375mAh), as opposed to 6,000mAh in the X200 Pro.

The slightly underwhelming alleged spec bump might mean that the much more impressive up-to-7,000mAh battery alluded to in an earlier leak might be reserved for the X400 Pro instead.

Then again, it might mean that the Dimensity 9500-powered X300 Pro could be as thin (if not thinner) than its ~8.2 millimeter (mm) predecessor.

The X200 Pro: now starting at €637 on TradingShenzhen in Europe.
