The Garmin Instinct 3 beta version 10.30 update is now available. Users of the Instinct 3 AMOLED, Instinct 3 Solar and Instinct E smartwatches are set to receive this latest release over the air (OTA). It arrives around a week after the last release, beta version 10.26; this earlier update focused on bug fixes for the Messenger app and inReach devices.
The change log for beta version 10.30 lists just one bug fix. It is said to tackle a connection issue experienced by some customers with inReach Messenger Plus devices. This appears to build on the bug fix that arrived in the beta version 10.26 update, which resolved a problem where inReach devices were not showing as connected in the appropriate widget. However, further details have not been provided at the time of writing.
In a Garmin forum post, it was stated that this update was available for all beta testers with Instinct 3 AMOLED, Instinct 3 Solar and Instinct E smartwatches (curr. $289 at Amazon). It should arrive on your watch via Garmin Connect when you are connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth. It remains to be seen when a stable version of software version 10.xx will be released to all users of the Instinct 3 series wearables.
