The Amazfit Balance 2 XT smartwatch has reached the first customers in the US. This watch had been rumored since June 2025, and appeared on the Best Buy website later that month. Then, in mid-August 2025, the product became available to purchase from this US retailer.
Many fans were sceptical that orders of the Amazfit Balance 2 smartwatch would be fulfilled by Best Buy in the timeframe provided. However, several customers have now confirmed on Reddit that they have received the product. As a reminder, the Balance 2 XT retails for $199.99, making it a cheaper alternative to the original Balance 2 smartwatch (curr. $299.99 at Amazon).
The Balance 2 XT smartwatch has a 1.5-inch AMOLED display, a 21-day battery life estimate, over 170 sports modes and various health tracking features. Compared to the standard Balance 2, it has a lower water resistance rating of 5 ATM, and the display is protected by mineral glass rather than sapphire glass. On top of this, the XT does not have the Golf app, and it is thought to be lighter, though its weight has yet to be confirmed.
Best Buy remains the only retailer currently selling the Amazfit Balance 2 smartwatch; it is not listed at the brand’s own online store. An Amazfit representative recently replied to a Best Buy customer's question about the release date. They said that the launch had been delayed until “the next month”, which should mean August 2025. However, the exact date of the official launch of the Balance 2 XT smartwatch remains unclear. Another unknown is when it will be released in other markets like Europe and at what price.
