The brand-new Coros Nomad is positioned as an all-rounder for outdoor adventures, sports and health. To this end, the watch offers some rather unusual features in conjunction with the accompanying smartphone app. Adventures are not only recorded as numbers, statistics, and routes on a map; photos and videos can also be taken in the smartphone app which are then displayed on a map along with voice memos and fitness data.
This allows users to share an entire experience, rather than just a route with numbers. Thanks to the fastest processor of any Coros watch to date, the Nomad can display color maps that allow for smooth zooming and navigation. The "Back to Start" function shows the route traveled and navigates precisely back to the starting point. The watch offers a weather and moon phase app, and even an app for anglers that shows the best fishing times and allows you to log the locations of fish caught.
In addition to a heart rate and SpO2 sensor, the Coros Nomad also features an electrocardiogram (ECG), a 3D compass, an altimeter and a skin temperature sensor. The watch can remotely control select GoPro and Insta360 cameras, track sleep and stress, and display training load and recovery time after a workout.
Music can be stored directly on the smartwatch thanks to 32 GB of internal storage. Moreover, the smartwatch features a 5 ATM water-resistant polymer case with an aluminum bezel and reaches an advertised battery life of 22 days under normal use, or 34 hours with dual-band GPS. The round 1.3-inch display is based on a MiP panel with a resolution of 260 x 260.
