Garmin has released another beta update for the Instinct 3 AMOLED, Instinct 3 Solar, and Instinct E smartwatches. The version 10.21 update arrives around a week after the last release, version 10.19, which focused on fixing bugs related to heart rate (HR) zones and GameOn Broadcast settings.
With beta version 10.21, Garmin has issued three new bug fixes for the Instinct 3 and related smartwatches. For the AMOLED version, a problem where the watch could crash when pairing a GoPro device has been resolved. It is unclear whether this issue also affected users of other models like the Fenix 8 and Forerunner 970, which are compatible with the GoPro Camera Control app for Garmin.
Plus, there are two bug fixes solely for the Instinct 3 Solar and Instinct E smartwatches. The first tackles an issue where some options were missing when users tried to edit various Activities and Apps in the Garmin Connect Mobile (GCM) app. The second prevents the wearables from crashing when users try to view glances.
In a post in the Garmin forum, it was noted that the beta version 10.21 update has reached about 20% of users. It is being shared with eligible smartwatches automatically via Bluetooth when using GCM or via Garmin Express. It is unclear when a stable version of the 10.xx software will be released for all users of the Instinct 3 smartwatches (45mm, Solar, Black curr. $39.99 at Amazon).
