The Amazfit Active 2 (Round) smartwatch is being updated to Zepp OS 5 with software version 6.2.6.3. It becomes the latest wearable from the brand to use its newest operating system, joining the Balance 2 and the Bip 6.
Reported by users on Reddit, the change log for the version 6.2.6.3 update states that the Zepp Flow assistant has been upgraded to version 2.0. Users of the Active 2 (Round) can now drag maps using the touchscreen. Plus, it gains support for both QWERTY and AZERTY keyboard layouts.
Another new feature is Jet Lag Manager, helping you to acclimatize to a new time zone. There is also support for single tap-to-wake. On top of this, sleep analysis and swimming heart rate tracking are said to have been improved, and Roxzone time tracking has been added to the Hyrox race mode. While the release notes (below) do not mention Zepp OS 5, this was confirmed in a user photo (also below).
Firmware version 6.2.6.3 is a 12.93 MB file. It is expected to reach users in the US, Canada, Italy and China first, rolling out to those in other countries in the coming weeks. Users of the Amazfit Active 2 (Round) (curr. from $99.99 at Amazon), will be able to install the update through the Zepp Health app.
