Amazfit has confirmed the key differences between the Balance 2 XT and standard Balance 2 smartwatches. It was rumored that the XT version of this new smartwatch would be a premium option with a titanium casing. However, leaked pricing at Best Buy appeared to contradict this theory.
Now, a representative for the Amazfit brand has explained the differences between the upcoming Balance 2 XT and the recently launched Balance 2. Responding to a customer question on the Best Buy product page, it was confirmed that the new version would only offer 5 ATM water resistance and therefore would not support diving. Another missing feature will be the Golf app, and the sapphire glass will be replaced with a mineral alternative. The Balance 2 XT will be lighter than the Balance 2, which weighs 43 g (~1.5 oz), though this measurement has yet to be provided.
According to the Best Buy product listing, the Amazfit Balance 2 XT smartwatch will retail for $199.99, making it $100 cheaper than the standard Balance 2 smartwatch ($299.99 at Amazon). As a reminder, the new XT variant of this wearable is expected to launch before the end of July 2025.
